This paper is dedicated to vortex flow measurements. The flowmeters based on the use of vortex formation behind the shedding bar play an important role in the global flow measurement industry. The authors have conducted the study of dependency of the Strouhal number in a wide measurement range at different fluid temperatures. It was found that the value of the Strouhal number was not constant throughout the entire measurement range and has a non-linear nature at low flow measurement. The Strouhal number was described as a non-linear function depending on the frequency of vortex formation and temperature of fluid and new convertion function model was obtained. The use of this new model allows decreasing the measurement error of the researched vortex sonic flowmeters at low flow.
