The Parametric Control in the Electric Hoist Drive of the Tower Crane

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of three versions (Russian, German and Chinese) of the implementation of the drive for hoist tower cranes, which are most widely used in medium-rise construction. The hoist height of such cranes does not exceed 70 m, and the hoist capacity is 10 tons. The main technical features of the operation of a frequency-controlled electric drive and an electric drive with parametric speed control are considered. The analysis showed that the hoist drive can be quite successfully implemented on the basis of an asynchronous electric motor with a wound rotor without complex regulation of the stator voltage frequency. In this case, an electric drive with parametric control will have quite competitive characteristics in comparison with a variable frequency drive. Also, the article proposes carrying out measures to modernize the existing hoist drive with parametric control of a Russian-made KB-4XX tower crane, which will increase the quality of its work without significantly increasing the price.
