Study on the Present Situation and Problems of the Employment of the Disabled in Beijing

According to the second national sample survey of disabled people, the number of disabled people reaches 82,960,000 in China, which accounts 6.34% of the total population In the same year, the number of disabled people from Beijing is 999,000, which accounts for 6.49% of all populations of the city. If calculated according to the proportion, the number of people of disabled people would be reach 1,409,000 in 2017. In this paper, the employment data of disabled people from Beijing Federation are used to analyze the employment situation and problem. The research results show that the lower employment rate and level, the lower social security and the less training are the main problems of employment for disabled people. Finally, several suggestions which strengthen the vocational training and improve the social security level are proposed to realize the full employment and protect the rights of disable people.
