New problems related to EMI are raised by the moving of switching frequencies toward high frequencies (x kHz), by the operation of converters whose resonance frequencies are within the range 60...100 kHz, by the realization of new converters for recently developed applications (renewable, solar, etc.) or by the connection to network of new batteries for charging (to supply electrical or hybrid machines, laptops etc.) Often these problems interfere with problems related to the quality of power/energy for frequencies under 2 kHz, therefore it is natural to consider that new standards must be issued. Some of them must consider a common approach for PQ problems and EMI respectively, also including here problems related to the limitation of undesired regimes (non-sinusoidal and/or non-symmetrical). New test measures are to be issued in order to avoid the overlapping of the common problems through different test measures and measures for the improvement of completely separated equipment operation.
