The COVID-19 pandemic rekindled attention to biomedical application of the Deep Ultraviolet Light Emitting Diodes that include killing bacteria and viruses, purifying air, disinfecting water supplies, prolonging food storage, increasing plant yield, improving produce quality post-harvest, adjusting lighting spectral power distribution, and regulating circadian rhythm.
