With increasing amount of electric and electronic appliances applied in vehicles, the internal and external electromagnetic environments become more and more serious. Thus will yield numerous unexpected EMC problems and might threaten vehicle information safety and driving safety. Many EMC standards which specify the electromagnetic emission and susceptibility requirements have been established, it will be an economical and liable approach for considering EMC design according to the corresponding standards at the beginning stage of the whole project This paper presents a vehicle model pre-processing technique for the electromagnetic environment construction and discusses the model precision that relates to geometry setup, radiation source distance and antenna type. The validity of model construction technique is then demonstrated through the comparison between simulation and measurement.
