A compact broadband circularly polarized slot antenna fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna consists of a F-shaped feedline and a square slot ground in combination three conducting rectangles. The F-shaped feedline is designed to achieve the good impedance matching. The rectangles inserted in the square slot are employed to get the broadband CP operation. The proposed antenna covers an impedance bandwidth (S11<-10dB) of 51.4% from 1.79 GHz to 3.03 GHz and a 3-dB-axial-ratio bandwidth (ARBW) of 48.3% from 1.76 GHz to 2.88 GHz. The operating band can cover wireless communication band GSM1800, GSM1900, WCDMA, LTE2300, LTE2500 and 2.4G Wi-Fi band.
