摘要

Modern matrix materials for immobilization of high-level waste(HLW)include common borosilicate and aluminophosphate glasses and promising crystalline mineral-like ceramics. The stability of these matrices under the conditions of physicochemical aeration(leaching)in the course of prolong storage or curst burial can be improved by their coating with various materials such as pyrolytic carbon, silicon carbide, and metal.
