Combined Effects of NSP Enzyme Preparation and Dietary Fiber on the True Neutral Detergent Fiber Digestibility of Geese

In order to investigate the effect of dietary fiber and NSP (non-starch polysaccharides) enzyme preparation on the true neutral detergent fiber digestibility of geese, Eight diet treatments were made up of 4 levels of dietary crude fiber (3.00%, 5.67%, 8.33%, 11.00%) and 4 levels of NSP enzyme preparation (0, 0.133%, 0.267%, 0.400%), according to U8(82) of uniform design experiment method. A total of 45 (LangdexHuoyan) crossbred male geese (42 days of age) were randomly allotted to 9 groups of 5 replicates of 1 goose each. One group was used to evaluate endogenous neutral detergent fiber, and the others were used for metabolism experiment by the way of TME respectively. The results suggested that true neutral detergent fiber digestibility showed a quadratic curve pattern, in which there was the maximum when dietary fiber levels ranged from 3% to 11%. True neutral detergent fiber digestibility increased the maximum (32.05%), when the level of crude fiber was 4.81%. Addition level of NSP enzyme preparation was in the range from 0% to 0.40%, True neutral detergent fiber digestibility showed a quadratic curve patterning. When dietary crude fiber level was 3.00%, and NSP enzyme preparation level was 0.30%, True neutral detergent fiber digestibility gained the maximum (37.96%). True neutral detergent fiber digestibility could get maximum value (40.13%), when the dietary fiber is 6.30% and NSP enzyme preparation is 0.34%.
