摘要

Indirect electrosynthesis of p-methoxybenaldehyde from p-methoxytoluene (p-MT) using (Cr{sub}2O{sub}7){sup}(2-)/Cr{sup}(3+) mediator in sulfuric acid is developed here. Effects of H{sub}2SO{sub}4 concentration, molar ratios of (Cr{sub}2O{sub}7){sup}(2-) to p-MT, reaction temperature and reaction time on the yield of p-methoxybenzaldehyde are investigated. The results show that under the conditions that molar ratio of ((Cr{sub}2O{sub}7){sup}(2-)) to (p-CH{sub}3O-C{sub}6H{sub}4-CH{sub}3) is 1:6, concentration of sulfuric acid is 2M, reaction temperature is 80°C and reaction time is 80min, the yield of p-methoxybenzaldehyde is 90%.
