After Fukushima Daiichi NPS accident in 2011, Japan Nuclear Safety Institute (JANSI) was established. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that Japanese nuclear operators achieve the world's highest level of safety. Based on the lessons learned from the Fukushima Daiichi accident. JANSI has built a series of leadership training programs concentrating on fostering the right mindset to the nuclear operators. The training programs are tailored to different management levels ranging from young managers to top management of operators (See Figure 1). Advantages of the training are as follows: 1.Remind participants to always be cautious in order to prevent severe accidents through a lecture by those of who experienced Fukushima Daiichi accident and exchanging views at a discussion with them. 2. Provide participants an effective learning experience by proactively collaborating with external organizations (2 such as the Self Defense Force, the Fire Department) which face all kinds of hazards in their duties to utilize and improve the quality of lectures and training facilities. 3.Enlighten participants through a discussion with others from different organizational culture, and foster the awareness of "We are in the Same Boat."
