INPO SOER 10-2, Engaged, Thinking Organizations forced the nuclear industry to reflect on behaviors of Leaders, Supervisors and Workers. Ontario Power Generation (OPG) recognized the importance of this SOER and actively participated as members of the team developing responses to the SOER in Baltimore. Taking steps at our plants, training programs were designed and implemented, and training effectiveness measured with a Post Training Effectiveness Evaluation (PTEE). Results include recognition of work to date, at our Darlington plant and as part of the team leading the Canadian Industry response. OPG operates 10 CANDU reactors, 6 at Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and 4 at Darlington Nuclear Generating Station. The audience for this training at OPG is over 1000 personnel.
