The aqueous polyurethane (WPU) emulsion was synthesized and analyzed from toluene diisocyanate(TDI), polyether polyols, 2,2-dimethylol propionic acid (DMPA) and organosilicon by the method of prepolymerization, chain-propagation, modification with organosilicon. The effects of DMPA, Trimethylolpropane (TMP) on the water-resistance, stability and mechanical properties of the dispersoid coating membrane were studied. The results showed that modified emulsion is steady at normal temperature, the meeting requirement of organosilicon as modification agent increased the mechanical properties and water-resistance of the coating membrane.
