It is generally accepted that the highest the size and the diversity of the antibody library, the highest the chance to find antibodies with high affinity. To maximize the possibility to select "the" antibody, at FJB we have taken antibody discovery to an unprecedent level by creating a versatile toolbox that allows the selection by phage display of monoclonal antibody formats (Fab, VHH, VHH-huFc, scFv, sdAb) of different species (human, llama, mouse, rat, rabbit and chickens) from large na?ve and immune repertoires. Ultimately these antibody fragments can be converted to different mono- and bi-specific formats that are produced in CHO cells. Moreover, some of these tools can also be used to engineer antibodies including humanization, sequence optimization and affinity maturation. The generated tools and uses thereof for identification of antibodies will be presented.
