Changes of humoral immunity in acute ischemic stroke

Changes in findings of humoral immunity were studied in 17 patients with acute ischemic stroke (in 3-1, 21 days). The heterogeneous nature of change are shown in the IgG, IgA, IgM, levels of fractional composition of immune complexes in patients IS. Half of the patients showed a reduction in levels of IgG and immune complexes (IC). The most reduction in levels of IgG and IC were detected in patients with moderate stroke and metabolic syndrome (MetS). Changes in immune status can be considered as a combination of dysregulation features and immunodeficiency of humoral immunity which are associated with immunodeficiency and autoimmune manifestations. Detected changes can be used to predict the progress in acute ischemic stroke (IS) and immunotherapy.
