In civil engineering there is many types of construction which could be designed from timber. Especially main supporting structures of houses, administrative buildings, roofs, towers or footbridges. This paper studies behaviour of spatial timber truss and its critical joint, crossing of the trusses. For this work it was necessary to create beam and boards FEM models and to compare results. The FEM models monitored strain and deformation changes of truss and strain in critical joint.
