Study on Process Performance and Capability to Production Part Approval Procedure QS-9000

摘要

This paper discuss the statistical process performance assessment and capability monitoring linking to Production Part Approval Procedure (PPAP) which defines generic requirements for production part approval, including production and bulk materials. In the submission of PPAP, the process performance and capability indices are the criteria for the supplier whether he can get the order or not. Besides stage of PPAP submission, process performance reassessment and capability monitoring are delivered stage by stage. The paper presents three sequence flowcharts which interpret the circulation of process capability and performance in general process, discuss which index is better to track performance and capability at different stages, and distinguish process performance and capability in different views.
