The solid substrate fermentation was used to treat the unsterilized potato plant residues in this study. The protein feeds were obtained using the mixed culture fermentation system with the screened molds (TJ-1 and DJ-1). The fermentation parameters were determined. The potato residues were mixed with 0.5% urea, 1.5% ammonium sulphate and 0.75% calcium perphosphate, and with wheat bran as the supplementary material. The crude protein content of the products was increased by 60% when fermentation was carried out at 28°C for 48-52 h and with the moisture content of fermentation substrate of 65-75%. The varieties of the amino acids were abundant and the nutritive value improved.
