Study on Crop Irrigation System Based on the Virtual

This research aims at exploring three main factors during the crop different growth periods: certain crop water requirement, its relative soil moisture content and environment temperature, based on which an intelligent signal processing system in crops irrigation management with virtual instrumentation was developed by Nation Instruments' graphical programming LabVIEW. The whole processing system was divided into three parts: signal acquisition, processing and control output. Firstly, dielectric properties, soil moisture content and temperature information were acquired by their relevant sensors with NI PCI-6024E data acquisition(DAQ) broad. Meanwhile, GPS information received by GPS MAP330 was to position the sampling synchronously through RS-232 serial interface. Afterwards, signals both from DAQ-6024E broad and GPS receiver were all combined into the system with other crop knowledge in Access database to analyze its corresponding water requirement situations. Finally, according to the analysis results, fuzzy control aided by NI control toolkit was sent out signals to irrigation execution units. In this system, many basic information operations functions, such as data display, store and analysis were provided. Especially, it has accomplished a GIS function, making watering spot and its corresponding information visible to operators in GIS map, which was convenient for operators to master both current and basic irrigation information. In one word, the whole system has shown its great intelligent functions on signals acquisition, analysis, control compared with traditional ones.
