INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AT HEIDELBERGCEMENT

Cement may only be marketed and traded freely if it is usable and if its conformity with standards and licences has been confirmed. These regulations result from the European Construction Products Directive 89/106/EWG (Ref.1) and from the Construction Products Act (Ref. 2) (which has become German law). For cement, the individual parts of the European Standard DIN EN 197-1 "Cement -Part 1: Composition, Specifications and Conformity Criteria for Common Cements" (Ref. 3) as well as the German standard DIN 1164 "Special Cement -Composition, Specifications and Attestation of Conformity" (Ref. 4) regulate the requirements for guaranteeing the usability. The procedure for verification of the conformity is described in the European Standard DIN EN 197-2 "Cement -Part 2: Conformity Evaluation" (Ref. 5).
