摘要

Linear response theory has been the instrumental method to analyze the prototypical device for standard stochastic resonance, i.e. the particle in the double well potential. However, this method has not been used to characterize in excitable systems such as neuron membranes. In this work, we investigate the first order response of the canonical excitable neuron model, namely the leaky integrate-and-fire neuron model, and provide a theoretical framework to analyze the stochastic resonance for excitable system.
