Towards a Structural Fuzzy Approach to Group Decision: Valued Fuzzy Preference Relations and Measuring Consensus

This Note re-eamines the problem of a fuzzy majority as presented by J.Kacprzyk and M.Fedrizzi [1] at CIFT'95 and suggests a possible way for introducing new further ideas. We outline the qualitative ideas of our approach in the short form of an extended abstract and provide the necessary references for further studies. We present (I) A valued Fuzzy Relational Algebra (FRA) over a sufficiently general structure with examples as a unifying conceptual framework allowing to cover different applications and to display links with other results.
