Modification of Ptmsp Membrane by Surface Chlorization

The modification of PTMSP membrane by surface fluroination to enhance its permselectivity for oxygen/nitrogen gas pair has been reported (1,2). In this paper, surface cholorination of PTMPS membrane by mixed gas of chlorine/nitrogen was investigated. The surface after treatment was examined by ATR-FTIR, XPS, WAXD and conact angle measurement, and their permeability coefficient to oxygen and nitrogen were determined. The results were summarized in Table 1 and Figures 1-3.
