On every haulage cycle, haul truck equipment locates alongside to a power shovel doing spottingmaneuvers next to be loaded. Normally, haul truck's operator wait until the mining shovel bucket isshowed as reference to locate the equipment in the right place, meaning that there is a time intervalin which the shovel is waiting for the haul truck, that correspond to a mean of 17 secondsapproximately according to measures on mine site. For that reason, efficiency of the haul truckspotting process increases the effective operation time of shovels, avoiding shovels idle time,increasing productivity considering the thousands of cycles done every day. A specific case ofloading pattern is the double spot, that corresponds to a shovel loading to both sides and in that case,it is possible to reduce to cero the time that the shovel waits for consecutive haul trucks to be loaded.In this work, a methodology is developed to detect if the conditions to spot with cero time were givenon every loading cycle, that corresponds to verify if the shovel is loading on double spot pattern andwhen the haul truck arrives, verity if another haul truck is being loaded on the other side to use theback of the shovel as reference for spotting maneuver. In that manner, it is possible to identifyoperators that less often do the spot with cero time maneuvering when all the conditions are givenand so, use that information to reinstruct them.This method was tested on the mine site and the results were 87 % of accuracy and 9 % of noclassification due to data communication issues.
