Qualitative behavior of Crowley - Martin prey predator model

Mathematical modelling of Predator-Prey interactions have enormous impact on the ecological system. In this article, a novel structure of discrete time Crowley - Martin Functional Response (CMFR) Predator - Prey model containing step size is considered for discussion. Existence of steady states is established and a detailed investigation on the local stability of the corresponding system is derived. Numerical illustrations are appropriate in enhancing the understanding of the behavior of the system. Illustrations indicate periodic doubling bifurcation of the model under certain conditions. Computation of Maximal Lyapunov Exponent confirm the presence of chaos.
