In this problem, wave loads of the caisson breakwater placed on porous bottom foundation is analyzed by considering linear water wave theory. The porosity of the bottom foundation is modeled using Sollitt and Cross (1973) (see [1] for details) theory of wave past a thick porous structure. To solve the associated mathematical model, boundary element method (BEM) is used. In the BEM solution technique, a system of Fredholm integral equations which arise from the computational domain are solved using point collocation method. A variety of physical results such as reflection coefficient, wave loads on the front face of the caisson breakwater and free surface elevation are analyzed.
