Investigations show that the erosion is determined by the current flowing through the arc, so the form of the current must be analysed as well. Because of the deformation of the sinusoidal current form is caused by the electric arc the ratio of the arc voltage and the network voltage has an important role. The relation between the current - time integral, namely the arc energy and the erosion is presented here at currents 10-100 A and voltages 63-220 V. In alternating current circuits the switching out may occur in any phase position, so in the computer calculations every case of separation-instant is taken consideration and an average of energy and charge is calculated. At rated voltage the erosion of the switching in carried out with multiple values of the rated current is considered too at the determination of the total erosion.
