The hunt for exoplanets is running for more than a decade. In the near future, as technology makes it possible to investigate it in more detail the properties of exoplanetary atmospheres, this knowledge will be used to determine their characteristics. Especially the atmospheres of Earth-like rocky planets will be in focus. Mars represents a special type of terrestrial planets so by searching for exoplanets we have a great chance to detect Mars-like celestial bodies around distant stars. In this work I try to consider and summarize, what signs may indicate that an exoplanet can be similar to Mars. Moreover I presume with spectroscopic analysis of the atmospheres of extrasolar Earth-like planets with infrared space interferometry may reveal a Mars-like or a Venus-like atmosphere at first. Discoveries of carbon-dioxide reach atmospheres will be a by-product of searching for a twin of Earth outside the Solar System.
