RADIOACTIVE WASTE GENERATORS REGISTRATION AND WASTE RECORDKEEPING SYSTEM AT THE RADIOACTIVE WASTE REPOSITORY AUTHORITY, CZECH REPUBLIC

The Radioactive Waste Repository Authority of the Czech Republic, at the beginning of year 2000, launched a project on the development and implementation of a basic information system (ZISS) for registration of radioactive waste generators, record-keeping of accepted and disposed waste, monitoring of repository sites and some other supporting functions. In July first phase of the project was completed, and the system is in trial operation. The information system has been developed in cooperation with Unicorn, a.s. (an IT company) and is designed as an on line system, that allows waste generators direct communication with RAWRA, using the Internet. The presentation will describe the main features of the system and future plans for its upgrade and enlargement.
