DELAMINATION DEPTH DETERMINATIONS IN COMPOSITES USING THERMAL WAVE IMAGING

We describe the use of temperature-time plots from selected regions of pulse-echo thermal wave images of composite structures to determine the depths of delaminations in such structures. Examples from fabricated defects in composites are shown, along with results on impact-damaged composites.
