摘要

Different types of electrodes for capacitive chemical sensors and biosensors were tested. It was found that because of a meniscus artefact, precise measurements of the sensor capacitance are impossible if the electrodes have a traditional geometry. The problem can be overcome by using electrodes prepared by thin film technology. An example of a biosensing application of the thin film electrodes having microscopic conducting wires between sensing and contacting areas is described.
