摘要

Progress towards the widespread application of the DIAL technique in the mid-infrared (2 to 4 mum) has been limited by the absence of suitable laser sources. We have developed an all solid-state source based on an injection-seeded optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and demonstrated its suitability for DIAL measurements of methane. The success of this work is an important step towards the development of an all solid-state DIAL system.
