Ponderation over Developing Rural Libraries in China

摘要

What restricts the improvement of peasants quality, the rural economy and social development? The author thinks that one of the main factors is the backwardness of rural libraries and that it is necessary and pressing to develop and popularize libraries in rural areas in China. After analyzing a few models of the established rural libraries in China, the author suggests and proves a model suitable for the developing China: to establish and run libraries by the local people and subsidize them by the state.
