NO_x recycle - a new NO_x reduction approach

NO_x recycle is a new approach for NO_x reduction. It uses regenerable sorbent to adsorb NO_x in the flue gas from a combustor followed by desorption, producing a high concentrated NO_x-laden stream containing both NO and NO_2. This stream is then sent back to the same combustor or to a separate combustor, where the NO_x is reduced in the flame.
