Dynamic similitude theory of structural model test is a basic research project in the discipline of structural test, and has been concerned with many investigators. Based on the author's collection of information and research into this area for many years, the new research developments in this field at home and abroad are introduced in this paper , including the basic principle of model design , model fabrication, and model test. Then the applicability and limitation of prediction of prototype's behavior from model test are discussed with emphasis on nonlinear behavior of model in the similitude relationships. Finally shaking table test results of two R. C. frame models with scales of 1/4 and 1/8 are described, and the future research need of dynamic similitude theory of structural model test is analyzed as well.
