摘要

The present paper designed an experimental prototype of an exhaust-heat-driven NH_3/LiNO_3 absorptionrefrigeration cycle (ARC) system, and experimental study has been carried out to evaluate the sub-zeroperformance of the system. This prototype is constructed by commonly used devices with the advantage ofcost reduction and easy manufacture. Parameter profiles of the continuous cooling process as function of timewere displayed. Characteristics on different operating conditions including exhaust-gas temperatures andcooling-water temperatures were parametrical analyzed. The results showed that the minimum evaporatingtemperature reached -35.4°C.The operating parameters including evaporating temperatures, cooling capacitiesand COPs were significantly influenced by the mentioned operating conditions. The present study providedsignificant references for sub-zero performance of ammonia/salt ARC systems, proving that NH_3/LiNO_3 ARCsystems are potentially applied in exhaust-heat recovery for the purpose of freezing.
