摘要

This paper is to propose method for uniform illumination of a double-side LED backlighting structure using by non-imaging calculation. First, optical model for a commercial white LED is established as Lambertian light source, and the theoretical prediction has good agreement with practical measurement. An optical model of LED source with non-symmetric pillow lens is constructed, which can be consumed as non-symmetric light source. The proposed system, which consists of rectangular Fresnel lens, prism-array lens and LED sources with a non-symmetric pillow lens, can extract light output into target surface. Optimization for geometry parameters of rectangular Fresnel lens and prism-array lens were conducted using the objective function for luminous efficiency and brightness uniformity.
