Study on carbon finance based on the construction of blue economic zone in Shandong peninsula

Carbon finance is a branch of environmental finance. As current environmental problem getting more and more global attention, countries all over the world have fully realized urgency and significance of environmental problem. Therefore, within the frame of agreement of Kyoto Protocol, all the countries have begun many-sided cooperation in environmental area to promote the development of low-carbon economy. Our country's transfer income of emission reduction amount through CDM project reached a billion dollars before 2012, so "carbon finance" relied on CDM has broad development space and huge business opportunity in our country. And China has been regarded as the most potential emission reduction market by many countries. As blue economic zone of Shandong Peninsula, with ocean industry being pillar industry, development of carbon finance can realize energy conservation and emission reduction, protect marine environment, and consequently promote the development of blue economic zone. Through documentary method, investigation method, data analytical method etc., this paper puts forward approaches like establishing carbon trading platform of blue economic zone of Shandong Peninsula service system network of carbon trading etc. to solve the main problems of development of carbon finance in the zone.
