Conductive inks have gathered increasing attention in the fabrication of next-generation electronicdevices because of their prominent compatibility and producibility. Copper oxide (CuO)nano-inks as an important part of the preparation process of laser-induced metal precursor nano-inkssintering are studied extensively. CuO nano-inks is a black colloidal solution with a certain viscositycomposed of CuO nanoparticles (NPs), polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and ethylene glycol (EG). Inthis work, a single factor experiment method was used to study the influence of different compositionand ratio of CuO nano-inks on its stability and reduction. The mechanism of nano-inks wasanalyzed through various aspects include the precipitation speed of NPs, circuit morphology, porosityand adhesion and other indicators, as well as the CuO NPs inks formula that was most suitable forstorage and processing is proposed. The CuO NPs ink consists of 50wt%CuO NPs, 16.25wt%PVP,and 33.75wt%EG. It had both stability and reducibility while providing metal oxide precursor materials.By laser-processed the CuO nano-inks, a flexible Cu circuit with good conductivity(130.9μΩꞏcm) and high resolution (line width of 12μm) is fabricated, which may be a potentialchoice for various flexible electronic devices.
