A health care social network based on mobile P2P in rural areas of China

摘要

Objectives: To build a low-cost personalized electrical health care information managing and sharing system that focuses on immunization and antenatal care in rural areas of China. Methods: We combine mobile P2P network and commercial network to be the system's hybrid communication infrastructure, and also use an open-source social network system based on distributed database to be the system's managing and data storage layer. Results: After analyzing the health workers' workflow in rural area of Liuba in China, we implement a prototype system for the health workers and village residents to efficiently manage and share immunization and antenatal information using mobile devices. Conclusions: This research on health care social network system based on mobile ad-hoc network and open source distributed database could help poor areas in developing countries implement and deploy a low-cost personalized health care data managing system fast.
