Vehicle-based mobility is a major producer of greenhouse gases globally, with the transport sector accounting for over 25% of CO_2 emissions at a European level and 20% at a global level. Consequently, electrification of road transport has the potential to drastically reduce air-pollutants contributing to climate change as well as city noise pollution. However, the wider adoption of electromobility by motorists and road transport operators remains relatively low, with one of the biggest obstacles in the wide acceptance of Electric Vehicles (EVs) being related to the lack of communication standards for electromobility data exchange, due to the complexity of required data structures and information models in EV Service Provision. NeMo, a 4 year European H2020 project, has designed the Common Information Models (CIM), based on the first set of recommendations of eMi~(3(1)) group, ensuring via provided tools that all operators provide coherent and consistent data and formats, contributing to services interoperability.
