When measuring the electromagnetic field scattered by an object, the presence of a pylon support distorts the results both due to scattering directly on the pylon and due to mutual scattering. To reduce the influence of mutual scattering that occurs during measurements with the presence of a pylon, a method using a radio-absorbing plate is considered. RCS values obtained in the following cases are compared: an object on a pylon with a radio-absorbing plate; an object on a pylon without a plate; an object without a plate and a pylon. Plates of different thicknesses at different frequencies are considered.
