Results of a study of a simple tunable absorber in the IR range are presented. The proposed design of IR absorber is based on the structure which consists of a substrate with thin dielectric layer (film) and a two-dimensional periodic grating formed by VO2 films. The study was carried out by the method of a volume integro-differential equation. Results of calculations of the transmission coefficient and power reflection for a two-periodic grating formed by round and square films are presented. It has been shown that the reflection decoupling can reach 16-18 dB, and the transmission coefficient reaches 80% in the cold state. The investigated structure can become the basis for the designing of various reconfigurable devices in the IR range.
