In this paper we propose a combined form of Sumudu transform (ST) and modified variational iteration method (MVIM) to solve nonlinear two point boundary value problems (BVPs). The elegant coupling is called modified Sumudu transform variational iteration method (MSTVIM). The results obtained are in good agreement with the exact solution and hence this method can be regarded as a valuable tool for solving nonlinear differential equations (NDEs) in various sciences. The proposed method has several advantages: the first one is on the freedom of VIM by choosing a suitable initial approximation with possible unknown constants, the second, is in its ability to reduce the number of computations to only a first order approximation of MSTVIM, and finally, it avoids the round off errors and finds the solution without any linearization or discretization. Several examples confirm the reliability and efficiency of the approach, which can be used to solve other types of nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs).
