Using the extreme environment test system, the ignition experiment of semiconductor igniter (SI) and embedded multichannel plasma igniter (EMPI) was carried out based on the component combustion chamber, and the influence of low- temperature on ignition performance was explored. The energy dissipation increases in the ignition environment of low- temperature and normal-pressure, which makes ignition difficult, and the flame intensity is weakened. The strong penetrating ability of the EMPI can compensate for the adverse effects of low-temperature cooling and has wider low-temperature ignition boundary. The EMPI can generate sparks with a deeper penetration depth, significantly shorten the ignition time.
