It is a long term dream of scientists and engineering to synthesize materials rationally.The challenge lies in our poor understanding on the formation mechanism of materials and the limited ability to control nanoscale crystallization [1].Under the inspiration of the concept of mesoscience [2],a research line is being developed,in which the in-situ equipment and high-performance computers are employed to monitor the nucleation and growth of particles.The principle of mesoscience is employed to discover the mechanism governing the structure evolution of materials,as well as to figure out the stability condition of the evolution of each structure.In this new research line,chemical diffusion and reaction are used to regulate the structure evolution of materials.Chemical diffusion and reaction are generally involved in the formation of materials.These two processes are coupled together and play a role in the structure evolution of materials.
