Varieties of modulation methods used in the construction of modern wireless telecommunication systems are described. A new proposed variety of amplitude-phase modulation is considered – the amplitude modulation of many components (AMMC). This variety of modulation can be used during the modernization of mobile communication systems, line-of-sight radio relay systems, satellite television systems, wireless telecommunication networks, etc. The indicators of technical efficiency of wireless telecommunication systems based on known and new methods of signal modulation are investigated. Based on the research, it was found that the use of AMMC will increase the frequency efficiency and information efficiency of wireless telecommunication systems compared to the use of known varieties of amplitude-phase modulation. The principles of construction of AMMC modulator are considered, which allows to generate phase shift keying (PSK), amplitude-phase keying (APK), quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) and AMMC signals. Variants of block diagram of the transmitting device for generating AMMC signals are considered, which differ in the applied methods of redundancy of components and, accordingly, the reliability of operation. The reliability indicators of the considered variants of block diagram of the transmitting device are investigated. Based on the results of the performed reliability optimization, it is proposed to use the block diagram that provides the highest reliability and efficiency among the studied variants when constructing a transmitting device for generating signals based on AMMC.
