The device has a coordinate transformer (101) for transforming a base-band signal into an amplitude signal and a phase signal. A ramp control unit (104) generates a power control signal. A mixer (102) is connected to the transformer and the control unit for combining the amplitude signal with the control signal to another amplitude signal. A modulator (106) is connected to the mixer and the transformer for modulating the latter amplitude signal in the phase signal into an output signal. A digital/analog converter (105) is connected between the mixer and the modulator. An independent claim is also included for a method for switch-on and/or switch-off of a transmission device.
