Two parameter cubic rank transmutation of Lindley distribution

In this paper, we propose a new distribution called two parameter cubic rank transmutation of Lindley distribution by using a cubic rank transmutation map proposed by Granzotto et.al [4]. The proposed distribution is a generalization of the one parameter Lindley distribution. Detailed descriptions of the statistical properties are obtained such as: r~(th) moment, mean, variance, survival and hazard rate functions. Unknown parameters of this distribution are obtained by using the maximum likelihood estimation method. The usefulness of the proposed distribution is illustrated by using a real life data set.
