摘要

It has long been observed that second language learners who natively speak different languages typically present different phonetic features in their second language acquisition. In this study an acoustic experiment has been made to explore the phonetic features of English front vowels uttered by college students whose mother tongue is Tibetan Lhasa. Lastly a further discussion was made to explore the method of teaching and learning of English vowels based on the experimental results.
